Dina Tasbulatova was born on January 1, 1988, in the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan. She grew up in a family of medical professionals: her father was an anesthesiologist, and her mother was a dentist.

In 2010, she graduated from the Faculty of Philology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2013, she completed her studies at the Faculty of Cinema and Television at the T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, specializing in documentary filmmaking.
